Day 1 Shanghai to Guilin (L)

Li River

Day 1 Shanghai to Guilin
Pick up from your hotel in Shanghai afternoon and then drive to Shanghai train station. Board the overnight soft-sleeper train to Guilin (4 beds in a cabin).

Day 2 Guilin (L)
Arrive in Guilin noon time and be met by the local tour guide at the train station. Transfer to have lunch and then start your sightseeing of Guilin. You will visit the marvelous Reed Flute Cave, featured with Karst stalagmites in various lively shapes, like bird, curtain, flower and animals.   Another sight is Elephant Trunk Hill – the symbol of Guilin. The hill, with its body half in water and half in land looks like an elephant drinking water, hence the name.

Day 3 Guilin to Yangshuo to Shanghai (B, L)
Morning enjoy the cruise down the Li River to Yangshuo. The cruising lasts 3 hours. The Li River landscape is known as ‘top in China’, with clear water, karst maountains, and a taste of idyllic life far removed from the concrete metropolis. Arrive in Yangshuo county, a must destination in Guilin. Appreciate the countryside scenery and have a stroll in the West Street, the main boulevard in Yangshuo with souveir shops, boutiques and cafe alongside, most of which are opened by foreign expatriates who admire the county life.
Drive back to Guilin train station to board the overnight train back to Shanghai.

Day 4 Shanghai
Arrive in Shanghai in the afternoon and be transferred back to your hotel in Shanghai.

Day 1 Shanghai to Guilin (L)
Pick you up from your hotel, transfer to the airport and fly to Guilin.
Upon your arrival, be greeted by Guilin local tour guide, transfer to the hotel and have a lunch. Drive to the Elephant Trunk Hill to start the tour in Guilin. Take a biking tour around, visiting the two premier Yangshuo attractions-Moon Mountain,named for the lunar-shaped cavity in the center, and Big Banyan Tree, more than 1,000 years old,17 meters high, with a green umbrella-like round tree crown.

Day 3 Yangshuo to Longsheng to Shanghai (B, L)
After breakfast, drive to another typical county of Guilin-Longsheng, known for its minority culture. Visit Zhuang and Yao Ethnic Tribes and Longji Terraced Field there.The different minority customs and local people’s dressing style are specially delicate and beautiful. The terrace is a rice field built on the hillsides, looking like great chains or ribbons as they wind from the foot to the top of the hill.
Leave for the airport and fly back to Shanghai. Upon arrival, Shanghai airport to your hotel transfer.

Day 1 Shanghai to Guilin (L)

Day 2 Guilin (B, L)
Today we do sightseeing inside the Guilin city. First visit the Elephant Trunk Hill. It is symbol of Guilin and got its name because its shape resembles an elephant with its trunk drinking from the Li River. Then is the Reed Flute Cave, which is regarded as the most impressive cave in Guilin. Lively shaped limestone formations look fantastic under the colorful lights. Take an excursion minority tour to Longsheng. We will visit the Longji Terraced Field and the Zhuang and Yao Minority Tribes. The terraces look like ribbons as they wind from the foot to the top of mountains, vast in area, twisting off into distance.  Zhuang and Yao minority villages dot the area. Back to Guilin for overnight.

Day 4 Guilin to Li River to Yangshuo (B, L)
Today is the highlight of this trip-the Li River cruise down to Yangshuo. Everywhere along the river has pricturesque scenery, like grotesque peaks, clear water, bamboo groves, rice paddies with water buffaloes, as well as fishmen on bamboo rafts. After 4-hour sailling, arrive in Yangshuo county, an old town with thousand years’ history. Free time for you to explore the charming town. A pleasant stroll on West Street is strongly recommended. It is an old street and now famous for its nightlife with bars, restaurants, shops that are mostly opened by foreigners from all over the world.

Day 5 Yangshuo to Guilin to Shanghai (B, L)
Relax in the Yangshuo countryside by cycling to pass through the paddy filed and orchards that surround the famous mountains. It is a fascinating insight into the life in rural China. Fly back to Shanghai in the afternoon. Your Shanghai driver will pick you up in time at Shanghai airport and transfer to hotel. End of our service.

Today you will first visit the Shanghai Urban Planning Exhibition Center. The magnificent building in People’s Square houses equally magnificent displays on the city’s past, present and future. Then take a stroll through the Yu Garden, which is an typical southern Chinese classical garden with beautiful garden settings. The Yuyuan Market around is a wonderful place to experience local life. Finally, immerse yourself in the peaceful atmosphere of the Jade Buddha Temple, which features two jade Buddha statues imported from Burma.

Day 3 Shanghai to Guilin (B, L)
After breakfast, you will walk down the Bund along the Huangpu River to find the city’s colonial past by the imposing foreign buildings of colonial period; visit the Nanjing Road, which enjoys the reputation as the first commercial street in China; then get a bird’s view of Shanghai from the novel shaped Oriental Pearl TV Tower, the third highest in the world.

Day 1 Shanghai to Guilin

Day 2 Guilin to Longsheng to Sanjiang (B, L)
After breakfast, you will head for Longsheng county to visit the Longji Terraced Filed. The terraces stretch layer upon layer from mountain foot to its summit, spanning vast area of about 16,308 acres. The views on the mountain top is awesome. Then pay a visit to the Zhuang and Yao Minority Tribes to experience the unique Chinese ethnic culture and see the suspension bridge in small size.
Transfer to Sanjiang county to experience the Dong people culture.

Day 3 Sanjiang to Guilin (B, L)
Today you will take a Dong Minority tour to the Dong Village in Sanjiang. Situated at the foot of mountains and surrounded by rivers, Dong village features well-preserved residential houses and charming natural landscape. We will visit two landmark spots there-the Wind and Rain Bridge and the Drum Tower. The bridge reflects the Unique Dong style and the wisdom of the Dong people, by blending the styles of bridge, corridor and kiosk into a whole. The bridge was built as a shelter for the people who worked in fields, but later became a date place for the young people. The Drum Tower acts as the political and cultural center of the village. Every time when the chief of the village beats the drum, villagers will stop their work and get together around the tower.
Return to Guilin for overnight.

Day 4 Guilin to Yangshuo (B, L)
In the early morning take a cruise journey along Li River down to Yangshuo. This is the highlight of any trip in Guilin, providing picturesque scenery with peaks, crystal water, rice paddies and the background of blue sky and white cloud. After a 4 hour sailing, arrive at Yangshuo old county. We will visit the historical West Street, which is now called ‘Foreigners’ Street’ because of the large number of foreign residents here who also open bars, restaurants and shops in the street. Then we do a biking tour to explore the countryside of Yangshuo.

Day 5 Yangshuo (B)
Free day for you to explore the small town of Yangshuo. You are suggested to visit the famous Moon Hill and the Big Banyan Tree. The Moon Hill is so named for a wide, semicircular hole through the hill. Climbing to the arch of the hill is a popular activity, taking roughly 20 minutes. The Big Banyan Tree is 1,500 years old, like a giant green umbrella providing a natural shelter for passers-by. The West Street is a good place for nightlife.

Day 6 Yangshuo to Guilin to Shanghai (B, L)
Return to Guilin and have a city tour to three famous attractions. The Reed Flute Cave is known as the Palace of Nature Arts. You will see various shapes of stalagmites and stalactites like flowers, birds, curtains and animals. Proceed to the Elephant Trunk Hill, regarded as the symbol of Guilin, resembling a giant elephant. The last stop is Fubo Hill, featuring beautiful landscape, numerous historical items and stone carvings.
After the tour, transfer you to airport and fly back to Shanghai. Pick you up from Shanghai airport and transfer to hotel. End of our service and thank you for using our service.
