Longji Terraced Field

Day 1 Shanghai to Guilin (L)
Pick you up from your hotel, transfer to the airport and fly to Guilin.
Upon your arrival, be greeted by Guilin local tour guide, transfer to the hotel and have a lunch. Drive to the Elephant Trunk Hill to start the tour in Guilin. The hill has 316 million years history and is Guilin city’s best known sight. Like elephant leisurely sucking water from the river with its long trunk, it got the name. Then visit the Reed Flute Cave. Various stalactites, stalagmites, stone pillars and other rock formations display a myriad of fanciful shapes, such as birds, flowers, curtains, and animals. Under the artificial lighting, you feel in a paradise where the Gods live.

Day 2 Guilin to Yangshuo (B, L)
Enjoy a Li River Cruise. Li River scenic area is world reputed for its unique natural sceneries with the most beautiful karst mountains, clear water and a taste of life far removed from the concrete metropolis. Arrive at Yangshuo county, famous for the beautiful idyllic scenery. Take a biking tour around, visiting the two premier Yangshuo attractions-Moon Mountain,named for the lunar-shaped cavity in the center, and Big Banyan Tree, more than 1,000 years old,17 meters high, with a green umbrella-like round tree crown.

Day 3 Yangshuo to Longsheng to Shanghai (B, L)
After breakfast, drive to another typical county of Guilin-Longsheng, known for its minority culture. Visit Zhuang and Yao Ethnic Tribes and Longji Terraced Field there.The different minority customs and local people’s dressing style are specially delicate and beautiful. The terrace is a rice field built on the hillsides, looking like great chains or ribbons as they wind from the foot to the top of the hill.
Leave for the airport and fly back to Shanghai. Upon arrival, Shanghai airport to your hotel transfer.

Zhuang and Yao Ethnic Tribes

Day 1 Shanghai to Guilin
Pick you up from hotel in Shanghai by our private driver, transfer to airport and fly to Guilin.
Your pivate English-speaking guide will welcome you and pick you up from airport and then transfer to your hotel. Free time for the rest of day.

Day 2 Guilin (B, L)
Today we do sightseeing inside the Guilin city. First visit the Elephant Trunk Hill. It is symbol of Guilin and got its name because its shape resembles an elephant with its trunk drinking from the Li River. Then is the Reed Flute Cave, which is regarded as the most impressive cave in Guilin. Lively shaped limestone formations look fantastic under the colorful lights. Finally come to the Daxu Ancient Town, one of the four famous historical towns of Guangxi province.

Day 3 Guilin to Longsheng to Guilin (B, L)
Take an excursion minority tour to Longsheng. We will visit the Longji Terraced Field and the Zhuang and Yao Minority Tribes. The terraces look like ribbons as they wind from the foot to the top of mountains, vast in area, twisting off into distance.  Zhuang and Yao minority villages dot the area. The different minority customs and dress are especially interesting.
Back to Guilin for overnight.

Day 4 Guilin to Li River to Yangshuo (B, L)
Today is the highlight of this trip-the Li River cruise down to Yangshuo. Everywhere along the river has pricturesque scenery, like grotesque peaks, clear water, bamboo groves, rice paddies with water buffaloes, as well as fishmen on bamboo rafts. After 4-hour sailling, arrive in Yangshuo county, an old town with thousand years’ history. Free time for you to explore the charming town. A pleasant stroll on West Street is strongly recommended. It is an old street and now famous for its nightlife with bars, restaurants, shops that are mostly opened by foreigners from all over the world.

Day 5 Yangshuo to Guilin to Shanghai (B, L)
Relax in the Yangshuo countryside by cycling to pass through the paddy filed and orchards that surround the famous mountains. It is a fascinating insight into the life in rural China. Fly back to Shanghai in the afternoon. Your Shanghai driver will pick you up in time at Shanghai airport and transfer to hotel. End of our service.
